Here, I have made some personal comparison between the Blackberry Bold and The IPhone 3G. I have the privilege to own tow of these phones. For work which is on weekdays, I use the BlackBerry and on weekends I switched to my IPhone 3G. I just couldn’t bare to give up one of these babies.

Why I Like The Iphone 3G.

1. Cool display. The display is totally amazing. None of those smart phones in this world could compare to the ones of the IPhone.

2. Lots of useful apps (around 15,000 apps to date and more to come) and really cool apps which tracks your finance, facebook, currency conversion, and the list goes on and on.

3. User friendly icons to help you navigate the iphone with ease.

4. Iphone has the most responsive touch screen.

5. Chat type sms. Shows and stores all chat history with that particular number.

6. Instant downloads to cool applications directly to your Iphone via 3G and WIFI. (Apps store)

7. Cool multimedia player (built in ipod touch)

8. Lindsay Lohan is using it

Some Things Which The Iphone 3G Could Really Improve. Functions which the IPhone lacks

1. Forward sms

2. MMS

3. ITunes is such a control freak. Little bit too complicate to use. Cut and paste of media files becomes a little complicated here.

4. Unable to bluetooth with other phone device. Can’t send or receive files from other phone device or your PC.

5. I am a fan of QWERTY keyboard rather than the virtual type. However, if you don’t message much, the iphone QWERTY keyboard works just fine for me. Take a while of getting used to it. However once you are there, everything is smooth though not as fast as typing on a QWERTY keyboard.

6. No video recording and only 2MP picture quality camera.

7. Non removable battery. What happens when the battery is at the end of life?

8. Need to register wwith ITunes and credit card required to install apps. (once again, Itunes is such a control freak). However, if you are able to Jailbreak (hack) your iphone, most of cracked apps would be able to solve the limitation mentioned above. Also, Apple will come out with the new OS 3.0 which would implement cut and paste, MMS and forward SMS. (Expected to launch this Summer)

Why I Like The BlackBerry Bold 9000

1. The most elegant blackberry so far. Very business like. (Obama uses this model)

2. QWERTY keyboard for fast and long message typing.

3. Very smooth Blackerry wireless technology.

4. Excellent device for messaging (Email, SMS, Instant Messaging)

5. You are able to connect with other exclusive blackberry via BlackBerry Messenger thriugh a given PIN.

6. With the blackberry wirless service, you are always connected. Messages pops up in an instant. (Just like sms on the phone)

7. Bright and sharp display.

8. Leather like feel at the back.

9. Cost effficient BlackBerry service.

10. Multitasking messenger capabilities. You are able to connect to messenger applications (YM, MSN, Google Talk, BlackBerry Messenger) leve it on and when a message appears it will be indicated on the home screen)

10. Easy access to emails (push mails and push built in instant messaging apps like MSN, YM and Google Talk and Blackberry Messenger). 11. Angelina Jolie is using it and so is Beyonce. Ha,ha. List Of Things The Blackberry Bold Could Improve 1. The silver part of the phone peels off easily. 2. Most of the apps are musch more expensive than the apps for the Iphone. 3. Interface not as cool as the iphone, very “old looking” especially the mail and sms interface. Conclusion The blackberry is more of a work phone wherelse the IPhone is more of a multimedia phone. If you have enough dough to spare, get both. If not, it really depends on your preference.
