BlackBerry Storm 2 Coming Up

Just when we were starting to get excited about the new Blackberry Storm, rumors started circulating around the interweb about the release of it’s successor, the Storm 2. True enough, after some prying, RIM’s Alain Segond von Banchet, Channel Sales manager in the Netherlands has confirmed the release of the Storm 2. It will be due out in 2009 (USA), and for Europe, late ‘09 or early 2010.
According to SlashGear, “Also confirmed is a new touch input method, which our source hinted at when originally revealing to us the plans for Verizon to release the Storm 2. Yet unconfirmed is the existence of WiFi, but we feel that this would be the most obvious upgrade to the device to bring it to compete directly with the iPhone.”
We fully agree that WiFi is one of the key needed elements in the Storm 2, because quite frankly, we’re rather aghast that it wasn’t included in the original Storm. Apart from that, we’ve been hearing (thanks commenters!) that the battery life on the Storm is rather lame too, so an improvement on that would be golden.
How else would you change the new Storm?
